Sport et Foi Grenoble

The Winter Olympic Games just closed and the World Futbol cup starts in a few months. In this transition time, we want to remind you how important sports are to evangelize the French people. Sport et Foi is one of the French ministries engaged in this area. 

The Association Sport et Foi (AJEF) was established near Grenoble in 2025 to help develop Christian beliefs and values by organizing activities in a cultural, social, educational, and sporting context for different groups (children, young people, students, families, couples, and the elderly).

Their activities are organized around moments of sharing and discussion based on biblical texts, where everyone, Christian or not, is invited to question themselves and discuss their beliefs while respecting those of others. Its main objective is to bring the Gospel to families as a whole, from small children to grandparents, in order to give them a future full of hope.

In the summer of 2024, the association took on a new dimension by organizing events for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in France, mobilizing Christians, charities, and churches in the Grenoble metropolitan area.

Thanks to the legacy of the Games, they have been able to continue and expand the activities of Sport et Foi in Grenoble since September 2024 by renting two gyms in addition to the soccer stadium, allowing them to welcome around a hundred Christians and non-Christians every Sunday to witness to them of God’s love. For more than two years, the association has been offering sports activities every Sunday afternoon to all the churches in the Grenoble metropolitan area in partnership with Sport et Foi France to bear witness to God’s love in the world of sports.

PRAY FOR: 

• The consecration, strengthening, and calling of the young Christians who witness and supervise the sports activities every Sunday so that the unconverted people present may be touched by the Holy Spirit.
• The growth, strengthening, and protection of sports ministries in Grenoble and its region against all possible attacks, and that they may inspire Christians to serve the Lord more in the neighborhoods, stepping out of their comfort zones.
• That Christians and churches in the Grenoble metropolitan area will take to heart this mission of evangelism through sports and will get involved in one way or another (prayer, witness, volunteering, actions, financial support, etc.).
